The story behind the siren, the strange little collections, the music, and the mission.

Welcome to my little corner of the earth

Welcome to my little corner of the earth. If you've found your way here, perhaps you've come for a tarot reading, a little herbal wisdom, a ritual, or simply because something about my world caught your attention. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you found your way in.

I'm the person behind SIASrituals, also known as Mystic Siren. There is a whole person behind the cards, candles, and herbs, and if you're curious about who I am beyond the readings, here's a glimpse.

I'm a little unconventional. I've always been that way, actually.

A mind drawn to the unusual

I've always appreciated things other people might overlook, misunderstand, or find a little strange.

I collect dead things: dead bugs, little critters, snake-skins, herbs, candles and other natural curiosities. I love noticing the details of creatures most people might walk past without a second glance. Even a shed snakeskin tells a story of transformation.

I also have a soft spot for cacti and succulents. There's something admirable about plants that can endure difficult conditions, conserve what they need, and keep growing. Maybe that’s because I’ve found that  I’ve naturally had to operate in similar ways.

I'm drawn to the overlooked, the misunderstood, the resilient, and the things that hold a story beneath their surface. That appreciation follows me into almost everything I do.

Music has always been another language of mine

I also have a connection to the music & piano. Music gives me another way to express things that don't always translate neatly into words. I can be as  chaotic or imperfect as i desire in the moment and still feel at peace. A melody can hold an entire atmosphere; a few notes can say what a long conversation cannot.

That sensitivity to atmosphere and expression influences the world I'm building through SIASrituals, from tarot and ritual to future sensory and musical projects. I want the things I create to be felt, not merely consumed.

The world I grew up in, and the one I built for myself

To understand the person I am today, it helps to understand a little about where I came from.

The world I grew up in, and the one I built for myself

I grew up in a dysfunctional family dynamic involving my parents that shaped much of my early

life. For years, my world was incredibly limited, and I experienced a kind of isolation that extended

far beyond simply being alone in a room.

There were long stretches when the Internet, books, online school, and my online friends were the

biggest windows I had into the world beyond my immediate circumstances.

While other people were out there making memories, exploring their surroundings, and forming

connections in person, I was learning about life through the resources available to me. Books

introduced me to different perspectives. The Internet exposed me to people, ideas, and possibilities

I might not otherwise have encountered. Online friendships gave me opportunities to connect with

people beyond the environment I grew up in.

In many ways, I was building an understanding of the world before I had much opportunity to

experience it firsthand.

Isolation can shape you in complicated ways. It can leave you feeling disconnected from the world

around you, but it can also teach you to become resourceful. There were many years where all i had was my tiny-big inner world. When you’ve had to raise yourself, you  learn to entertain your own mind,

follow your curiosity, and find ways to keep growing even when your circumstances aren’t

particularly conducive to it.

I had to learn how to make a world for myself with what I had. And I did.

I don’t share this for sympathy, and I don’t look back on my life as though everything that

happened to me was something that simply had to be endured without purpose or reflection. My

upbringing is part of my story, but it is not the entirety of who I am. I am stronger because of my battles won. In return for my devotion to my journey, spirit has protected my steps,  my physical vessel and my kind heart.

I’m not interested in reducing myself to the things I survived. I’m interested in what I learned, what

I chose to do with those experiences, and the person I’m  continuing to become.

There is a difference between acknowledging that something was difficult and allowing it to define

your entire identity. In many ways, I was building an understanding of the world before I had much opportunity to experience it firsthand. I learned to follow my curiosity and make a world for myself with what I had.

This isn’t a victim story. It’s a survivalist story.♡

2023: When nature became something more

My spiritual journey didn’t appear out of nowhere in 2023. In hindsight, the beginnings were there

before I had the words to describe them. But around that time, something shifted in a way I could

finally recognize.

I remember walking outside and noticing how connected I felt to nature. It was a different kind of

connection from anything I had experienced through organized religion. There was something

about being outdoors, surrounded by the living world, that resonated with me in a way I hadn’t

experienced in the same way elsewhere.

I wasn't simply looking at nature. I was becoming more attentive to it.

The air, the plants,  the ground beneath my feet, the subtle changes in the environment, things

that could easily become background noise in everyday life and I began to feel worthy of my attention. I witnessed deer, foxes, raccoons and even beavers, etc right in my neighborhood. It was so fucking cool to see first hand when you grow up in a big city.

I found myself drawn toward a relationship with the natural world that felt personal, exploratory,

and genuine.

I didn't need to begin with a complicated set of rules or convince myself to fit into a particular

religious framework. I could start with observation. Curiosity. Experience. The willingness to spend

time outside and notice what was already there.

That walk became a marker in my life. I lost weight out there. I lost old beliefs out there. I found myself out there. In my late twenties is where tarot, symbolism, nature, and rituals gradually became part of the language I used to explore my inner world and my relationship with the one around me. After spending so much of my life navigating an environment I hadn't chosen, discovering a spiritual path I could explore for myself felt significant.

The four elements, and a life that never quite fit into one box

Astrology has given me a language through which I can explore parts of myself I've spent much of my life trying to understand, slowly but surely. I'm an Aquarius Sun with a Cancer Rising and a Libra Moon, and one of the most significant features of my chart is my four-planet stellium, balanced across the four classical elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water.

A configuration with this kind of elemental distribution is incredibly uncommon, but its significance to me goes beyond rarity. Each element represents something I recognize in my life and the work I'm here to do.

Fire brings courage, initiative, and the willingness to challenge what has become stagnant. Earth brings patience, steadiness, and the ability to turn ideas into something tangible. Air brings curiosity, communication, and a willingness to question. Water brings intuition, emotional depth, and sensitivity to what lies beneath the surface.

I see these elements as parts of a greater whole. I've spent much of my life feeling as though I didn't quite fit into the spaces I found myself in, often misunderstood by people who couldn't see where I was coming from. I felt resented for being the voice of reason, the safe space, the child that was ‘adulting’ more than many adults around me. Over time, I've begun to understand that I don't have to reduce myself to one easily understood category.

I can be soft and firm, sensitive and discerning, curious about darkness while still seeking light. Equilibrium, to me, is about learning to hold different forces together without allowing one to consume everything else. That is literally a huge part of my gift to this world.

The walking mirror

One idea that has followed me throughout my life is that of the mirror & catalyst : not one that reflects appearance, but one that invites people to see something about themselves they might otherwise avoid. For a long time, i just chalked my differences up to being neurospicy, which is a huge part of my wiring. However, recently i discovered the ‘INFJ’ personality framework, and it feels like the missing puzzle piece i’ve endlessly tried to find. While neurodivergence explains how my brain processes data, being an INFJ captures the actual soul of my experience. It articulates my deep need for genuine connection, my intense empathy, high mental capacity & why i feel things so profoundly. My journey to deeper self discovery has been a gigantic blessing.. but it doesn’t come without certain challenges.

Sometimes, a different perspective challenges assumptions people have never had to question. Being different can make you a mirror for others, whether you intend to be one or not.

My personal mission is tied to restoring a sense of equilibrium within ourselves and in the ways we relate to the world. I want to challenge outdated ways of thinking, question systems that no longer serve us, and encourage people to look beyond rigid ideas of what is acceptable, desirable, good, or bad.

For me, shadow work is part of that mission. Integrating shadow and light means acknowledging the uncomfortable, wounded, or difficult parts of ourselves and learning from them. I want to embody the understanding that gentleness doesn't require helplessness, strength doesn't require cruelty, and acknowledging darkness doesn't mean surrendering to it.

I'm still learning how to embody those things myself, but it's a direction I choose to keep walking in.

July 2025 - When betrayal became a turning point

Betrayal wasn't something I experienced for the first time as an adult. It was something I had dealt

with throughout my life, and those experiences contributed to my tendency to retreat into myself.

When you've been let down enough times, you can start to find comfort in your own company. You

become more selective about who you allow into your world because you've learned that access to

you is something that should mean something.

For years, I was already accustomed to keeping to myself. Between my upbringing, the isolation I

experienced, and the disappointments I'd encountered in relationships, withdrawing often felt

easier than repeatedly navigating the uncertainty of trusting other people.

But there is a difference between choosing solitude because you enjoy your own company and

retreating because you’ve learned to expect disappointment. It took me time to understand that

difference.

I choose my friends much more wisely now. I pay attention to consistency, reciprocity, actions, and whether

someone's presence in my life aligns with the values I hold.

But back then? I still had a lot to learn about boundaries.

Then came 2025, an absolutely soul-crushing turning point. I realized I needed to create a real boundary system before I lost even more of myself trying to preserve connections or make sense of experiences that were hurting me. I needed to define what I would accept, what I would no longer entertain, and what I would do when someone's behavior showed me a boundary was necessary.

That realization changed how I approached relationships. Protecting my peace didn't have to mean shutting the world out; it meant making healthier connections possible.

Then a fallout with a friend from my past brought those lessons into sharp focus. Someone I had trusted deeply disappointed me, and the experience became part of the beginning of my tarot and business journey. To be honest that experience was the true catalyst for the depth of my newest chapters in life. I am so immensely grateful.

Tarot gave me a way to explore symbolism, reflect on my experiences, and ask questions I hadn't yet found the language to articulate. What began during a difficult chapter gradually grew into a practice, a passion, and the foundation of SIASrituals. I finally found my home within self.

I can see how this connects with my Saturn in Aries placement. In astrology, Saturn represents discipline, responsibility, and structure, while Aries represents courage, initiative, and independence. For me, the symbolism is about learning to direct my fire: to turn frustration into focus and put my energy toward building something real.

Not every hurt needs to become a battle. Sometimes courage means leaving, discipline means not returning to what you've outgrown, and the best use of your energy is to create a better life.

SIASrituals became one of the places where I could do that. I began channeling my energy into learning, creating, developing my spiritual practice, and building something of my own. 2025 was the year I realized that surviving difficult relationships wasn't enough; I needed to build a life in which I could protect what I was becoming.

SIASrituals: something I'm building with intention

SIASrituals stands for Spiritual Inhale Apothecary & Skincare Rituals. It brings together many of the things that feel most natural to me: tarot, spirituality, herbalism, plant-based traditions, rituals, self-reflection, and the exploration of what it means to care for ourselves with greater intention.

I'm building this business steadily, learning as I go, and allowing the vision to develop without forcing it to become everything all at once. I want to create a space where people can explore their curiosity without feeling they have to fit a particular mold: a little-big corner of the earth for gentle souls, misunderstood sweethearts, curious minds, and anyone who has ever felt out of place.

You don't have to identify as a mermaid, a mythical creature, or a spiritual seeker to belong here. You can simply be yourself.

I care about authenticity and learning the things I want to teach. I am an avid believer of the phrase “ practice what you preach”. From deeper tarot education and herbal knowledge to sensory creations and future skincare projects, there is so much I want to explore.

Slowly building. Surely, steadily.

I used to spend a lot of time wondering why it seemed so difficult to be understood, why certain connections felt complicated, and why being myself sometimes seemed to create distance instead of connection.

Now, I see my life less as a puzzle I need to solve and more as a journey I'm still learning to navigate. I'm still learning, refining, and discovering new parts of myself. I'm building SIASrituals one intentional step at a time. I share my understanding of my world as i  keep creating it.

If there is one thing I hope people take away from getting to know me, it is this: being different doesn't mean you're broken, and being misunderstood doesn't mean you're without value. The parts of yourself that once made you feel like an outsider may become the very things that help you create a place where others finally feel they belong.

So, if you've found your way here, welcome. I'm Mystic Siren. I love the unusual & the forgotten. I find beauty in unexpected places, and believe there is always more to discover beneath the surface.

Rooted in earth, illuminated by rituals. And always, in my own time, following the tide.
